Does anyone know how much fuel this engine would burn under "normal" operation conditions lets say half throttle most of the time? Reason why is I want to buy a fuel tank for it but don't know what size to buy. 3 gal 5gal 6gal? I like the 3 gal because it fits in a little spot at the back of the boat but don't think it is big enough to run for 3 to 5 hours?

Rule of thumb is 10% of HP per hour at WOT. That would be 1.5 gallons per hour.

Running at half throttle would reduce the usage but hull shape, water conditions, wind and weight all play factors.

I would guess a 3 gallon tank would get you 3 hours of use with out running out.

I used to carry a 1 gallon spare container under the splash well on my first boat. Ended up using it twice in 8 years.
