2003 4 Stroke Johnson 115 HP - Trim Tilt Problem

I have 2003 Johnson 4-Stroke 115 HP (Suzuki) where the trim go up fine but will not go down - I had to lower it manually this past weekend while using and it starts and runs fine. The up trim works fine, it just wont lower back down unless I do it manually. Any suggestions for trouble shooting this issue would be appreciated.

Does the trim motor run both ways ??

Have not had a chance to get out there and try much yet - work gets in the way. Will have to give that a try.
