Good morning,

I write from Venice Italy.
I apologize for my English.

I have a 1969 Evinrude 18 hp and would like to know if it is normal that comes out water from the hole on the photo attached.

Thank to everyone

No, it is NOT normal. That is a vent hole, and water should not get that high. Water should drain out the drain holes near the lower rubber mount. What you are seeing can damage the powerhead. Check to see if the tube and o-rings are there that go between the water pump housing and exhaust housing (around the drive shaft). Also check for excessive wear of the water pump impeller and/or pump housing. Your English certainly is much better than my Italian.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
It is possible that the copper tube between the water pump and the exhaust housing is broken?

thank you

Well sure that is possible, but not the cause of what you are seeing.

Here is the tube I told you to check. And the water pump parts. And I just destroyed my parts book page, when I did that.
