Hi all,
First post, have been reading many threads.
My scenario is this the starboard side middle cylinder is not firing. Background, Top cylinder would not fire so I swapped the coil from top cylinder to middle cylinder and the problem followed the coil. I bought a new coil, installed it yesterday tested it. it had a red spark on that cylinder and blue spark on all other 5 cylinders. I removed spark plug and cleaned then decided to replace the plug. I tested the spark plug wire and it is good, I also swapped the wire from another plug and coil to this one and wire worked fine. I took the boat onto the lake. It is a 90 champion 18'5 foot with a 22 stainless prop. Motor ran great compared to previous outings. I have only acquired this boat recently and I have changed the water pump, gear oil, batteries, fuel line, cleaned carbs, and put a water separator in fuel line. I also changed out all the gaskets on carbs and changed the thermostats.
Today i rechecked the spark and get no spark from that cylinder and i am a little baffled.
