got a 1977 Johnson 35hp with electric start. when I got it the wiring under the dash was a total rats nest, and the choke and gauges didn't work. decided to clean everything up and start fresh. the wiring harness from the motor has a red/purple, black, white, black/yelo, and purple/white wires. this motor has a black plug end not a red one. can't find a wiring diagram for a black omc plug. are they all the same as a red plug with the white in for a red/yelo?
