model number and tiller steer conversion question

I just purchased a used tiller set up taken from a johnson j40tvls1b. At least that was the model number written in marker on the tiller. I was told by the seller that it came from a 2001 johnson 40 hp 2-stroke. I want to replace the remote controls on my 2002 johnson 40 hp 2 stroke model number j40plstd with this.. The mount, shift, and throttle controls mount correctly but I can't find the wiring diagram to figure out how to connect the existing wires on the tiller to my engine. I have electric start and tilt/trim on the side of the engine. Any help would be much appreciated.
