Johnson 50 Head Removal?

I have an1975 Johnson 50ESL75B. I want to remove the cylinder head. Can this be accomplished without removing the entire power head? Looks like the lower bolts might be tough to get out and might hit the lower cowling.

Yes it can be removed.-------Fairly easy to do.-----No need to remove the entire powerhead !

Well, that seems easy. I got a factory service manual, but it only talks about head removal after power head removal.
