Welcome aboard.

How old is the battery? What do you have for electrical devices - radios, trolling motors, etc.?

Ken Harp first of all :welcome: to iboats. Great to have you aboard...

Okay seems you are having some problems with rectifiers and regulators. The number one thing the ruins most any electronic device is HEAT!. And that is true if things short out which raises the heat to beyond anything the electronic device can handle and it literally burns open or short. So seeing how you have gone through 4 rectifiers/regulators, I suspect you have a heat issue. Is the engine running in the correct temperature range? That would be my first check. Usually when a rectifier and/or a regulator goes bad, we tend to look at the battery and connections. And that isn't a bad ideas as well. But four rectifiers/regulators means something is over heating and frying them... DO remove and clean the positive AND negative battery terminals AND the ground(s) at the engine as well. Shiny metal is the best thing going for perfect electrical connections. Don't look at them and think they are good, clean them! And make certain your engine is not over heating and frying the rectifier/regulator. Also, read the voltage before cranking the engine and after it is running. Test this at the battery to see if the charging system is working. You should read about 12.6 volts (or there about) with the engine off, and anywhere from 12.7 to 13.5 voltage when the engine is running. The higher the RPMs the higher the voltage at the battery. Then post your results back here for us to see what is going on... :thumb:
