I took my 1977 115hp evinrude apart to replace the impeller haven't done in sense I got it and the housing looks a lil rough. Is it still useable looks almost like it was heated up. The old impeller wasn't bad was just replacing it cause it's been awhile.
Thanks
Brian

Hard to tell. Did you wipe it out before the picture? If so, not too good. If not, wipe and show us again?

looks like a salt water motor -- in any case, need a new housing and seal (need the whole kit this time).

Nope never been in salt water land locked in Iowa. I took the two metal pieces out and they cleaned up good. Found a website that sells the new housing for $29.00

????-----Hold on here , this motor is a 2 stroke and you have to mix gas and oil !!!----Get the owners manual and read it before you turn the key !
