Replaced all coils Checked timing ,compression good ,Motor revs good out of water when under a load in water will not turn up no more than 2300 rpms !!!
Compression good on all 4 cl it's twins 1 runs good the other is the problem child & yes it runs good under no load & the boat is new to me carbs been rebuilt before i got in oct..
???---Runs good with no load ????--Most motors sound good running on a hose and that means very little.---Have you looked into issues with crankcase compression / seal rings on the crank ?
use good insulated gloves and or pliers to pull each spark wire off, and each one should drop the rpm slightly if one or two does not decrease the rpms then they are not firing correctly.hope this helps:joyous:
