Can anyone help?! Ive just purchased a Honda 2005 4 stroke 20hp tiller controll and have put new plugs in and oil. Iyll start but die instantly. After much atempts i can get it running but it wants to die. Tried adjusting throttle adjustment on side of carb. Tried tunning carb which ive never done it before. Once engine is started and warmed up by then itll only run with choke halfway out. Once its warm and running half of it starts to run irregular.
Whilst in idle it revs very high then slowly decreaes revs only to increase again.The enleaded petrol is fresh. Both plugs are sparking ok. Ive taken the carb off tonight to try and clean as ive not done it before. The fuel that came out did have particles of dirt and also a red/pink substancewhich laid in the bottom of the petrol. Also the fuel lines around the engine,pump to carb etc had the same contents.
Im not sure wheter its fuel related or electrical? I once had a 2 stroke that revd irratickly and it was a pulse.
Someone has mentiones the valves but i know nothing about valves.
