I just bought two Honda 130 hp outboards. I have yet to tear into them as I just picked them up. They look to be the earlier model 130's with fuel injection. Problem I was told with the one that's almost complete (besides the gearcase) is it had low compression on one cylinder. Now I've looked through **********, and I don't see them offering any oversize piston and ring sets. While I realize that the issue could lie within the valve train, I was just looking through the parts displays they have up to get a general idea of cost for a worse case scenario. Does anyone offer oversize pistons for these Hondas?

Check the condition of the cylinder before you look for oversize. If the cylinder is plated and there are bits of melted piston on it, they can often be removed with acid. If the cylinder is gouged then that's a different story. Use as scope to check it out through the spark plug hole.
