I have an old BF15a (around 1990) at my cottage, and it sees use one or two weekends a month during summer only, so it has very low hours.
2 weeks ago, didn't have any problems with it, but this week starts up fine, and works fine until I give it more than 1/3 gas, then it starts making more noise, rpms don't go up past 3000rpm, then some times for a couple of seconds it will have a jolt of power then starts slowing down again...
checked the plugs, nothing out the ordinary, ran a bottle of seafoam mixed with 2 liters of gas, no change.
any ideas? bad coils is my next guess..
