I have a 2010 Honda BF200A and it cranks and idles fine. There are no issues according to the honda gauges - No check engine light. It does have a recall out for an O2 sensor but have not taken it in yet for that update.
My problem is that at WOT is only at about 5200 rpms trimmed out running around 28-30mph. Also at WOT throttle or good cruising speed there feels like a slight miss or hesitation. Also the fuel bulb on my fuel line never gets firm - you can squeeze and squeeze and you can feel and hear some fuel in the bulb but it never gets firm.
My understanding from other honda 200 owners is that the sweet power spot on the motor is 5800-6000 rpms and around 45 MPH for my boat/motor combo.
It seems like I read that the fuel filters - particularly the high pressure fuel filter can cause this problem.
Any thoughts and advice will be greatly appreciated?
