I just finished my first 20 hours on my new Honda 50 hp outboard. Upon draining the oil I noticed something weird drain out. I sifted through the used oil and found three pieces of whitish/yellowing rubber. One stretched out to about an inch, the other two were 1/4" by 1/4" - and had the feel of a doctor's thin rubber glove.
I brought it in the the local Honda shop and the mechanic said he has seen this a few times and that I shouldn't be overly concerned. Well, I am. I would like to get in contact with Honda so they can verify what it is, but don't know where to start.
Anyone have this similar problem?
