noise from lower leg of tohatsu 60 c

As i flush my moter with a set of ear muffs i put it into forward gear at just above idle there is a chattery noise but when i place it back to neutral it is not there.

Probably just gear lash, since the prop is not under load. A skilled tech with the right apparatus and dial indicators can measure the backlash if you are so inclined.

Thanks heaps Pvanv i will talk to my technician about it,i have heard talk about the clutch dog if worn could cause the noise also.
