I need info about replacing my tilt tube and bushings in my 2004 Honda 225. I have a lift for the engine just want to know once I get the weight off the tube will the tube come out easily.....I know I have to remove all the hydo-steering rods. Once I get to removing the old tube what is the procedure in installing the new one??? I'm assuming its one side at time and pushing new tube in as I go....any info would be greatly appreaciated....thanks Jerry S.

Re: Replacing tilt tube and bushings in Honda 225

I'm amazed that I couldn't get any feedback from my thread. So today I hung the motor on the lift unhooked all the hydro steering stuff and removed one of the large 32mm bolts on the tilt tube....and it slid right out....tube was ok but bushing were shot....cleaned everything up and greased all and slid new bushings in....reinstalled all and all is well...saved myself about 280 bucks by doing it myself....by the way this was on a 204 Ranger 520VX bassboat.....
