Well I have a 7.5hp honda bf75s with the exhaust leak that chokes the motor while the cowl is in-place yet runs like a champ while it is off. But my leak seams to be coming from the front of the motor, almost as if it is coming out of the piviot tube that the engine turns on? I can actually see the smoke coming from this location. I can not see any exhaust coming from the typical area under the block, at the back of the engine, where the exhaust tube exits the block. Nor can I see any evident leak way down in the hole where it enters the lower casing. Is it possible its leaking back up from a location in the lower casing below the exhaust tube? Every post ive seen says this problem is typically caused by holes in the exhaust tube or gasket...I dont think this is where my leak is, it does seems to be coming from the front. Any suggestions?
