tahatsu as a kicker for 24 foot sportcraft

i have been in the market for a kicker for my 24 foot sportcraft, it has been converted from a inboard to an outboard on a 27 inch engine bracket.
i was at the boat show and they have a 8hp, 20 inch shaft electric start and trim the rep. said with a high thrust prop it would be ideal for the boat i run. I use my boat for fishing with trolling speeds from 1.3mph to 3.2mph would this motor be able to do this.
does anyone out there use these as kickers for trolling on boats this size, any insight would be great.

John, The HT prop is available in 2 different pitches: 5 and 7. I would expect you to troll well with the 5 pitch... 7 would be OK, but you will get more precise control with the 5, and I would expect a top boat speed well under 10 at WOT.
