My Honda is leaking oil. I know where it is leaking from and it's an easy fix, but I can't find the year on it by part number or by VIN. I know where the part number plate is supposed to be, but the only tag I have with the part number says Model BF25A only. The tag with the complete part number is nowhere to be found. I am trying to buy parts by VIN number, but the number isn't matching up with anything in my parts search. The motor has a big 2006 Emissions sticker on it, so I am thinking 2001 or newer...the VIN is BAJE-2000680. The closest BF25A VIN Numbers I pull up start with BAJS. The stamping is clear...I'm lost.
