Would like to know :

If Tohatsu remote control box has a stop on forward or reverse inside lever or it's limited to play againts forward, reverse engine stoppers adjustments ?

Is it possible to lubricate internal gear & throttle cables ? or must change for new ones if internal cable slidding is not smooth as when new ?

Re: Tohatsu Remote Control & Cables

Tohatsu controls rely on the stops on the motor itself; they don't have stops inside the RC box. Yes, the internals of the box can be relubricated if/when the factory lube dries out.

Normally, cables can't successfully be re-lubricated. That of course depends on the cable manufacturer.

Thanks Paul, the max throttle setting on control box produces a over actuation on cam transmited to carb leverl roller at wot, that's why was inquiring, will need a slight adjustment of the max throttle stopper to lessen the pressure. The RC box and cables is the original brand, does Tohatsu use Teleflex cables delivered on their units ?

Cables are dealer-installed. We often use Hi-Lex cables that Tohatsu America sells, but any morse-style cable will work fine.
