Honda 45 fuel filter

I just purchased a pontoon boat with a 1995 Honda 45 outboard on it. The previous owner removed the fuel filter completely. I would like to put one back on but can't seem to find the correct one. Would a standard inline fuel filter work or where can I find an actual Honda part number for the fuel filter. The closest Honda dealer is 300 miles away!

My cousin has this motor and has a standard in line filter on his. Works fine. I would just be sure it doesn't rattle around much.

Thanks, I ended up putting an in line fuel filter on. A local mechanic told me it should be fine.

You should put a fuel/water sepperator type filter on, it's good insurance.
