Hello, I have a 2000 75HP Honda 4 Stroke--- took it out today after a long, cold winter season. The motor started with little problem, but noticed gasoline pouring out of the top carbuerator. I'm curious if maybe the float is stuck-- or if there's another possible reason for this symptom.

Thanks!

In all likelyhood the float is stuck but a ruptured fuel line is not out of the question. That is a longshot.Cleaning those carbs requires removing that intake manifold complete and is not for the faint of heart.Ordinarally ,if you have a carb flooding over you will have runabilty issues. Are those happening?

Thanks Hondon,
I did contact a local service shop and their opinion is that the float is stuck. They suggested a light tapping on the carb that's leaking, which did slow the gas leak, but did not stop it. I'm going to bring it to the local service shop to have the carbs cleaned. For running 10 years with no repairs, can't complain too much. Thanks again for the reply!
