I am purchasing this motor from someone, and everything is great with the motor except for a hesitation/power loss when you start to throttle up on the motor, you get it past a certain point and it's fine. Anyone know what that could be? Thanks ahead of time for any help.

What is the precise model/serial? 95% chance it's a carb issue. That said, you would also throw a timing light on it to verify that it's advancing properly.

Not sure of the model # yet, I haven't technically purchased it yet. I know it's a 20" long shaft with a manual start. Year 2005

Any idea what the horsepower rating might be?

Like Paul said, probably the carb or spark pugs or too much oil.
