Can I make My 1999 Honda bf50 extra long shaft into a long shaft

This motor has some type of extension block between the motor and the gear case. I was wondering If that can be removed and install a regular long driveshaft in the lower unit. I need a 20" motor This one is close to 25"

I think Honda only have extension for the 75hp and up.
even soo I will come again for further information.

Yeah, it can be done,but you will need a driveshaft,lower shiftshaft,and a host of special tools to get that all shimmed properly.Not a walk in the park.

[well that ob is available in two size: S and L type.
That define the transom height.
S Type 416 mm
L type 521 mm
is possible to do but experience knowledge is recommended.
you need:
transmission shaft
water tube
gear selection
extension case, all these one in L type,
and do not forget to buy extra long water tube (black tube)

as is neede to open the gear case do not forget the seals for it.
and I recommended that you get one new nut in the gear case as to change it is better to destroy it and put a new one.

Sorry only know I remenber that you asked for a extra long shaft into long shaft.
That is not possible only available at Honda OB from 75 HP and up.

Too much work at a expensive cost, buy or make a transom mount to instant convert a 25" into 20"...
