water pump 1989 90 HP nissan outboard

Husband is out tearing into the lower unit to find the water pump. Impeller apparently shot. Does anybody have any schematics showing where it is or any good suggestions to help us out in this process? Haven't been able to locate a service manual, but would be happy to have source info for that also...Thanks!

I assume you have an NS90A. Year is not important, but model/serial is critical. You do not need to disassemble the LU to service the water pump. Just drop it, and the pump is on the driveshaft, on top of the LU. I would recommend Part # 3B7652310M $90.13 as it is the whole wp kit including the wear plate and cup. You will want the proper Factory service manual. Covers all 3 & 4 cylinder 2-stroke models. Part # 003-21036-1 $44.17
