Hi,

We have a 1985 Boston Whaler 18' with a 2004 130 HP four stroke motor and the boat is listing to the port side while underway. Wondering is there some steering tabs or something on the motor itself we can adjust to correct the listing?

Thx::facepalm:

If the boat only lists when under way, you are experiencing what is called prop torque.

Thx for the response..okay, so can this be adjusted at the motor, say the trim tab on the motor and the transom adjusting rod, or do i need to install trim tabs on the transom to help fix

Listing means the boat is rolling on the water while underway. If your boat is pulling to port at the helm try experimenting with the trim tab.This is not a rudder.If this boat is pulling port adjust that tab to port.Ideally you should have hydraulic or dual cable steering on this unit and this would never have been an issue.

Under the cavitation plate there may be an anode or just a plain tab (looks like a small fin pointing down) if you have that you can loosen and adjust to control listing (pulling to one side).I have a 135 and it has it.
