I have a BF100 10HP Honda 4 stroke (SN:B100-1203588) that hasn't been started, serviced or tuned for more than a year or 1-1/2 years now. (It's been ran only on freshwater) I fired up the motor recently and it ran for a short period (2 min) but started to sputter out. I opened the cover and noticed gasoline spitting out of the little orifice on the top of the carb. I'm not familiar with outboard motors but I'm mechanically handy so I would like to take this apart and fix it if possible. Does anyone have some info on why gas would spit out of the small orifice on top of the carb? Also, does anyone have a manual I can download to repair subject of the carburator for this motor? I checked in many places for the svc manual but no luck so far. I would really appreciate it if someone can point me out to one.

Thanks in advance.
