Hello, can anyone tell me how to drop the lower unit on a 1982 7.5 honda? The bolts ate out and it will not come out. Is there a link in the shaft holding it in? I do not see an access plate in the tower.
Thanks

Re: Honda impeller replacment

There is a link for atlantic gear case below where you can select your model# and it will give you a parts break down. Once at the link, under Honda marine and outboard engine you will see a select button. Click on it and select your model#, once you've done that look above the zoom in and zoom out you will see an arrow pointing down. Click on it and it will list all the diferrent parts of your engine. Look at the shift shaft, you want to remove parts # 30 and 31. Cotter pin and pin, this will disconnect your shifting rod. Which you can see by clicking on the down arrow again and going to (extention case + gear case + shift rod) once you remove parts #30 and 31 the lower end should come off.

You can order parts from both links below, boats.net seems cheaper for most parts but check both.

Hope this helps you!
