For correct prop selection, a tachometer would be helpful. Maybe you could borrow one for testing. For your 600-pound rig, you may be able to use the 4-blade prop, but you will probably lose some low-end hole shot, because the 4 blades act like a steeper pitched 3-blade. The ideal prop allows the motor to come up to proper WOT RPM without going over it. The prop selector chart at
http://www.tohatsu.com/accessories/prop.html shows that you probably would run a 10-pitch 3-blade prop, but every boat is different, and pitch selection is always a bit of a trial-and-error process.
If you are hitting the correct WOT RPM now with a 9 or 10 pitch 3-blade prop, the same pitch in a 4-blade will be too much, and will kill your hole shot. But you need to know what RPM you have now in order to correctly select a spare prop.
