Tohatsu M70B3F3 Power tilt drops hydrolic oil

Hi,

My Tohatsu outboard with power tilt does not tilt anymore. Yesterday i tried to fill the hydrolic system with ATF oil.
Oil immediately came out on the left side of the system (when looking at the rear of the boat).

Because of the location of the whole i cant see it correctly but it looks like a round hole where maybe a plug or something like that should be.

Can someone here confirm or deny that there is a plug on the left side of the hydrolic power tilt system?

Check your owner's manual at http://www.tohatsu.com/tech_info/manuals.html for a description of how to fill/check the tilt/trim system.

@pvanv. Thanks. I took the whole unit off and a plug was missing.
I reinstalled the plug and topped of the system but i am now already 3 days working on bleeding the air out and i can't get it all out.

I have read every book and manual and forum already on how to bleed air out the best way but it still is not OK.

Seems like i have to turn the engine in for repair.

You should normally think how hard can it be to bleed the air out but it probably is ;(
