18hp nissan power head on 25hp bottom end

I have run into a bit of a issue. I bought a new hull and before I did I was told by someone I had a long shaft motor based on NSC18C2 model # . so i put the motor on the new hull to find out it was a short shaft.

so I have been looking for ways to fix this problem

I ended up calling a close to me dealer he told me there wasn't really a spacer kit . I then aske if maybe they had a basket case long shaft around
they said not a 18hp but they did have a 25hp but they would have to check to see if the power heads would swap. They also said they were very busy and it could be a few days. I'm looking for a quicker answer. to see if I should go get the blown 25

Nope. You didn't mention the possible donor model... Any 25 LU is a quite different bolt pattern, for one thing.

i guess a model # for the 25 would have been good but I wasn't given it
but sounds like I shouldn't get my hopes up

And none of the 25s will bolt onto any of the 18s.
