02' Honda BF40 lower leg rebuild

I am about to replace the lower leg casing on this 02' BF40. I am just wondering what the difficulty factor is for this job.Do i need any special tools,anything I should know?Also if anyone has an exploded view of the lower leg that would be awesome.I have taken the lower leg off of other outboards before but I am just wondering if I am going to have any surprises.Thanks

Hi,
Yes you need lots of special tools and you have to do shim calculation then you have to pressure test the lower unit for leaks after you replace the lower unit casing. Tough jobs, will ruin your money if you makes mistakes. Leave it to the pro.
