Over the winter I had my 2006 Honda 9.9 tuned up and know it starts and runs fine but it is definately noisier and top end speed is much slower than last year. Is there timing issues here and how do I change it?

Not much to tune on this engine.Belt timeing should not have been tampered with and you would see very hard starting if it had been.Valve adjustment can be a very subjective item and relies alot on feel and expeiriece but misadjusted valves will also manifest themselves in hard starting somewhere.Are you using last years fuel?Are you running to temp or too hot?Remember this engine will limit your power then stall in an overheat.
