Honda BF 75 (7.5) will not idle

Having trouble with an older BF 75 Honda outboard. I have rebuilt the carb and flushed the old gas out of the system,,,,,,,,,,,,runs good at high rpm but when I reduce to shift speed it dies,,,,,,,,,,any help on adjusting this carb would be appreciated,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks,

I had the same exact problem with my BF8A and it was the carb jets and metering rod. When you say that you rebuilt the carb, what exactly did you do??

I simply completely disassemble mine and soaked in carb and intake cleaner over night that I bought from a Ford dealer. It ran like a top after that.
