2001 Honda 90 hp coughs & hesitates - above idle speed

Model BF90A all filers & plugs replaced, carbs soaked cleaned & rebuilt - Motor starts right up, idles and high end is fine but it hesitates and coughs when you accellerate and at 1500 rpm or so. Could it be a valve adjustment, does any one have the valve adjustment proceedure for this engine?

Valve adjustment is always a good place to start when you are having issues.Also check the check valve in the accelerator pump lines after that pump.If it is restricted or allowing air to flow in both directions,this may be your problem.
