The line between my fuel pump and carb is getting air bubbles and eventually goes dry when I don't keep the RPM up (won't idle). I have replaced the fuel line from the connector to the pump and from the pump to the carb. I took the primer bulb out and connected directly to the tank in case it was causing too much resistance, but no luck. I assume I have a fuel pump issue. The Honda ones seem to run off physical contact with the camshaft vs. internal vacuum created by cylinder motion like you may see in an Evinrude for example. Anyway, I hate to replace the entire thing for $80, when I only paid $50 for the motor. Are there certain parts that are more prone to failure...diaphram, fuel screen, etc. Or does anyone have other thoughts on the cause?
