When I changed my lower end oil at the end of last summer I noticed it was very milky. Moisture getting in somewhere. After i replaced the oil I went to put the bottom drian screw back into the housing however it wouldn't thread. It looks like the housing is stripped. Would that be the cause of the moisture getting into the oil or shoulld i be looking for something else? Any advice on using a tap to repair the stripped housing on this particular motor?
Thanks!

I'm no expert but it would make sense that water could get in a striped plug. If you retap the hole, I would make sure to have it pressure checked. Be sure to replace the gaskets/seals around the drain/fill plugs.
