hi, i have a tohatsu 50HP tiller two stroke and id like to install a fuel/water seperator. i purchased a run of the mill filter setup where the filter is called "mercury style". will this type of filter work for my system? my filter is similar to this one:

the housing has 5 holes. 4 with arrows going different directions and one hole pointing down. how does this setup work? im assuming that you come in one side and out the other with both arrows pointing the same direction but is there more to it? thanks for your help, mark

That's the industry standard one sold under countless names. See the directions that come with the filter or just follow the the arrows...In and out and plug off the rest.

Yep, yep. And try to keep the filter relatively close to the motor, rather than at the tank.
