Does anyone how hard it is to convert a extra long shaft 15hp Honda to a regular 20 inch shaft? Also what parts would I need to upgrade my 15hp to a 20hp? This is my first post I can use all the help I can get. Thanks

It would be fairly expensive to do these things. For the extra long to long shaft conversion, it might work to just mount the motor 5 inches higher on the transom. They sell adapters to do this or you may be able to just raise the motor. The key is to have the cavitation plate on the lower unit either level or slightly above the keel of the boat.

Usually in converting to a higher horsepower, you need to get new carburetors. Sometimes there are other parts that are different as well. Maybe someone else on this forum would know the cost and whether it is feasible for this motor.
