When i run this engine over 3000rpm, it "bucks" and drops power. Under 3000 rpm it runs fine. I figured it to be a feul problem and I replaced the fuel filter, the high pressure fuel filter and the water fuel separators but still have the problem. What would you look at next??

You need to check for a free flow of fuel to the fuel pump.Try a postable tank to rule out fuel tank blockage.Another problem I have had is at the point where the fuel hose runs through the grommet at the engine case it gets flattened out if not installed properly or if there is a salt build up.

had same problem on twin 90's ....turned out to be the fuel pumps ...honda has a revised design pump for the larger engines ...make sure you have it.

as previous post says ....maybe stuck in reduction mode but if so you should have a check engine situation ....anyway try a differenr ECU
