Honda 30bf low power at full throttle

My Honda 30bf wont go over 2400 rpm and dies when you advance the throttle fast. I have cleaned the carbs with seafoam and gumout no help.
could this be an electrical problem? The tach go cazy when I advance the throttle and then settles down. I have had the honda dealer in Satelite Beach look at it.. A new filter and $150. latter their answer was take off the skeg protector. What a bunch of JERKS the boat was fine and reached top speed with it on before the problem. Do I have to have the carbs rebuilt, I need to find a good repair shop in Brevard Florida.

So ,what info did that shop provide you with for that 150?I would expect at least some compression numbers,fuel sample analysis,s plug replacement and test run on a shop tank and yours to determine fuel delivery issues.You will need to determine the general health of this engine,including valve adjustment.If all that adds up you are then in after the carbs.Be very carefull with that job.
