I found this:

Honda outboard model numbers and serial numbers do not provide model year information. There is nothing on the motor that will provide the model year of the engine. Please do not email us requesting model year information as we are unable to provide any method of indicating the model year. Honda has determined that you do not need that information.

I don't know if someone more in "the know" can help you, but I tried!

The only reason I know my BF100 is an '83, is because it came with all the original paperwork!

your motor is a 1979...on the Honda dealers site they give us a model chronology broken down by serial number and horsepower

Hi Everyone!


May I ask in this thread about mine honda wich has a serial B100S 171 0669 on it.

And one more: To disamble the cylinder head should I screw the middle hexabolt un? This would be the last on the whole motor.

I am talking about the bolt between the two intake valves.
