Honda BF90 Throttle Coiled Spring

Is there a diagram or help aid to assist me in setting the coiled spring behind the throttle linkage? Surely this spring helps the bottom carb return to idle. This spring has an eye that goes on a round post, but how does one set the tension and fix the other end of the coiled spring?

To amplify on my question: I was directed to the diagrams contained on boats.net for my Honda serial number. This is under the Throttle Cam. There are two springs in the throttle cam and an item called the "plate assist". Is there a gouge available to help me set up the two springs in the throttle cam as well as how the plate assist behaves? Or do I need to take the engine to a boat mechanic?
