Nissan 2.5 HP What year ? Long shaft ?

Hoping someone can help. (Elvin seems to have lotsa this info)

Looking at buying a Nissan 2.5 HP 2 stroke for our sailboat Model # NS2.5A
SN# 62445 Plate also says 314-1 before the serial number is stamped on it.

Any idea on model year/age ? The case and lower end are blue.
Can you tell from serial number if a long shaft ? I am looking at photos but hard to tell. Seller hasn't replied to question on shaft length.

It's a short shaft(never offered in a long) and its a pre 1993 model. It's old and senile, but everything is available fror it except the ignition parts.
