I have a 1983 10hp Honda. When I put the lever on the side of the engine in the tilt positions the engine remains locked (like its in the run position). I have to reach in on the bottom side of the engine and manually push the lock rod in to get it to disengage and tilt the motor. This should disengage when flipped to the tilt position right? I have looked at the lever & related springs & mechanism and am not quite sure how you would adjust this to work properly. This is no big deal for me, but I don't want one of my kids to get thieir hand or arm pinched in there if they are using the boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
