15 HP honda outboard

I am in the final phases of purchasing a 1993 3058 Bayliner
the current, (soon to be previous) owners had a 15 hp Kicker with full controls including autopilot. I think the outboard is a 1995 or 1996 model

I don't necessarily need the outboard and controls and I might be selling the outboard and control unit
they claim that they paid $12,000 for the system new I have checked and see that similar outboards only are in the 2-3,000 range, but what are the controls worth, assuming they are in good condition

note this is a freshwater boat.

any help would be great I'm just looking for what the value of this equipment would be.

12,000 dollars?This unit better have the ultimate kicker remote guidance system to justify that and than still,WHAT?

after further research, that included the mounting brackets, and all the installation.

however, I have not personally seen the receipts
furthermore, time is getting away from me. I think it was 2005 or 2006 model
