Removing Tohatsu 90 TLDI Lower Unit

Hi All,
I'm trying to get the lower unit off of my 90 TLDI to replace the water pump kit. I've done this on other motors in the past, so it shouldn't be a problem, but I can't figure out how to get it off.

The problem I have is with the shift linkage. I have the lower unit loose and it drops down, but I can't find a good way to remove the shift linkage. I've tried to remove the 2 little pins, but one is in accessable and one is too small to get ahold of.

If anyone has any advice on how they accomplished this, please let me know. I have the impeller kit here waiting and want to get it on and get the boat in the water!

You drive out one of those two pins with a punch. Try shifting the engine a little to get the coupler where you can reach it.
