I have just registered in this forum, I am from Portugal, and i just bought my first boat and engine:redface:
The boat is a RIB 4,2 mt
, great and the engine is a Honda 40 hp
And now comes my problem, this is a 2nd hand engine, bought to an Honda resseler. Should came overhould as a minimum. I was told that the engine was in good shape, and these engines have a huge reputation localy on reliability.
In my 1st trial, i found in the worst way that to make 10 miles, i had to top-up 5 lt of oil.
I already complain to honda about this kind of way of making business, but i would like if possible, if any one can gine any idea of the problem.
even if we speak about cars, i never know any car with this kinf of oil consumption
