Honda 40 choke to fuel enrichment conversion?

I purchassed a used 1999 honda bf40 it was in need of a bad carb cleaning which I performed with good results, however there was some corrosion in the carbs that I wasnt happy with. I purchassed a set of new carbs on a manifold that are the newer style (the price was right) with the fuel enrichment solinoid verses a butterfly type choke. Anyone have any input on this conversion? Do you think it would work? To operate the enrichment solinoid could I just hook it up to an ignition on power source?
